The expression is not “every since” but “ever since.”

    EVER SINCE I started writing, I realized how much I do not know.

    vs.

    That dog is ugly in EVERY SENSE of the word.

  3. @johnnyolsonrocks. The confusion you note is presumably limited to varieties of Southern American English (including certain varieties of Missouri English) in which "sense" and "since" are pronounced identically.
